Rock salt: The sea water collects in the natural rocky cavities and evaporates slowly from the sun and the wind. This forms a layer of salt which is collected with wooden spoons, from June to September each year. Then, the white crystal flakes (salt flower) are dried and smoked with value wood in the traditional way of Mani.
