The chamomile got its name from its characteristic aroma that resembles that of an apple. Chamomile has sedative, tonic and antiseptic properties. It is also used as a key ingredient in many cosmetics. As a decoction: Pour in a cup of water 2 tablespoons of the herb and leave it for 10 minutes. Strain and drink plain, with sugar or honey! Other uses: Can be used to remove makeup from the face and eyes, to clean wounds and as a soothing skin irritation.
