Fresh Aronia of our own production
It belongs to the so-called super foods due to its high nutritional value and is high on the list of the most important alternative crops in our country.
The climatic and soil conditions of Greece have proven since 1980 ideal for the cultivation of this plant. The fruit is rich in pectin, the natural acetic polysaccharide that is abundant in apples, quinces and oranges. It is valuable for the pharmaceutical industry, while the extracts of leaves and fruits have antioxidant properties and cure many diseases, such as inflammation, heart disease, diabetes, etc.
Also, aronia fruits are among the richest in antioxidants and vitamin C.
