Prespa giant megalosperma beans are white in color and stand out from other beans from other regions and countries in their shape, size, brightness of the product and of course their quality. They are thin-skinned – easy to boil (50′ minutes of boiling and 60′ of pulping) with a special flavor due to the microclimate and soil composition of the Prespa region. They are cooked in soup (bean stew) or piage. The seed is of local origin and the cultivation completely traditional. They have a high nutritional value perfectly harmonized with the philosophy of the healthy Mediterranean diet. They contain many nutrients and specifically offer our body proteins of good biological value without the presence of saturated fats. They also contain starch, B vitamins, magnesium, potassium and other minerals. Their fiber content contributes to the improvement of intestinal motility and contributes to the reduction of cholesterol, since a part of it is carried away to be eliminated in the intestine.
