It is a plant that is endemic to Southern Europe and S.A. Asia. It has traditionally been used as a fabric and carpet cleaner
but also in the preparation of halva.

Main properties: expectorant, astringent, diuretic.

Therapeutic use: as an expectorant in Cough and Bronchitis, for Gallstones.

Externally for washing skin conditions such as Eczema, Acne, Psoriasis.

How it is used:

The dried root of soapwort as a decoction: Soak 15-20 g in a liter of cold water. dried Saponaria root for the whole night. In the morning, simmer for 5-10′. Strain and drink 3-4 times a day.

Externally for skin washes.

You can rub it on yourself during sauna or hammam. It will cleanse and rejuvenate your skin.
