Rapunzel’s coconut oil, which comes from the flesh of the fruit of the coconut plant. It is rich in fat and in fact about 90% is saturated. It also contains vitamin E, no protein, fiber and cholesterol and small amounts of other vitamins and minerals. It has a high content of saturated fatty acids, the main of which is lauric acid, which has been associated with the reduction of “bad” cholesterol (LDL). It can also be used as a cosmetic, as it enhances the hydration of the skin, gives shine to the hair and improves oral health. Due to the saturated fatty acids it has, it helps burn body fat. It reduces appetite and induces a feeling of satiety, which results in long-term weight loss. It increases levels of good cholesterol (HDL), which is associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
