Kakoule is a spice derived from the seeds of various plants of the genus Elettaria and Amomon in the family Zigiberoid. It is considered as one of the most expensive spices. It has a spicy taste and resembles a lemon. Aromatic, used a lot in Eastern cuisine, gives a very “sweet” taste to coffee and tea. Also important is its use in confectionery and necessarily in buns.
