Dennree Sweet Corn

Corn or maize or millet (wheat or millet in Cyprus) has the scientific name Zea mays. The Greek scientific name of the plant is Common Maize or Zea the May. Its Greek name, “maize”, means “the wheat (wheat) of the Arabs” and was introduced to Greece in 1600 from North Africa. It can be wonderfully combined in sauces, salads, crepes or even to garnish a delicious savory dish.
