Ivy leaves were important to the ancients since they were worn by Dionysus and symbolized eternal youth. The ancient Greeks believed that with a wreath of ivy leaves they could ward off the effects of drunkenness.

Main Properties: antispasmodic of the lung muscles, expectorant, emmenagogue, antipyretic, diaphoretic.

Uses: internally for bronchitis, whooping cough, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cough, gallstones externally with a poultice or preparation of ointment for cellulite, stretch marks, lice, burns we take baths with ivy leaves in hot water for neuralgia and rheumatic pains.

How to use: as an infusion: 1/2 teaspoon in 1 cup of boiled water for about 10-15′. We drink 2 times a day.
